Last month, three state legislators took time out of their busy schedules to visit GraniteLeaf’s production facility in Peterborough. This was the first legislative tour of a cannabis production facility in the history of the N.H. Therapeutic Cannabis Program (TCP). We are very grateful to Representatives Karen Ebel, Wendy Thomas, and Suzanne Vail for their interest in learning more about our operations!
These representatives all strongly support the TCP, and we greatly appreciated the opportunity to share our knowledge with them. GraniteLeaf’s President and CEO Keenan Blum led the tour, showing the legislators how everything works from propagation to packaging.
Rep. Thomas and Rep. Vail are currently sponsoring several bills that would improve the TCP and benefit patients, with strong support from Rep. Ebel and many other elected officials. Here, Rep. Thomas asks a question about our cultivation process while Reps. Vail and Ebel view a row of plants:
Our lab manager, Austin Kolden, happened to be operating our rosin press during the tour, so the representatives were treated to a live demonstration. We are very proud of our solventless extracts, and we appreciated the opportunity to show legislators how the first live rosin products in N.H. are being made!
It’s easy for us to say we’re doing a good job, but on this occasion we were able to show how our team is working every day to exceed expectations. Seeing is believing!
As state legislators contemplate the future of cannabis policy in our state, we appreciate the opportunity to serve as a resource for them. We look forward to future opportunities to share our knowledge and experience with elected officials.
