Supporting Parkinson’s Foundation in April!

April 2025 Community Outreach Parkinson's Foundation

April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month, so we decided this would be a great month to raise money for the New England chapter of the Parkinson’s Foundation! This outstanding organization makes life better for people with Parkinson’s disease (PD) by improving care and advancing research toward a cure.

We will be collecting cash donations at both dispensaries throughout April to support this worthy cause. GraniteLeaf will once again match all donations up to a total of $2K, so every dollar you donate will have twice the impact!

Your Guide to Parkinson's Awareness Month

Parkinson’s “Moving Day” Walk May 17

The Parkinson’s Foundation will hold its 5th Annual Moving Day Walk in Manchester on Saturday, May 17, and GraniteLeaf has pledged to sponsor the event! We look forward to attending the Walk, presenting them with our donation, and spreading the good word about the Therapeutic Cannabis Program.

From their website:

Moving Day is an inspiring and empowering annual fundraising walk event that unites people around the country living with Parkinson’s disease (PD), their care partners and loved ones to help beat PD. Moving Day is more than just a walk. It’s a celebration of movement – proven to help manage Parkinson’s symptoms.

Leading up to the event, participants and teams fundraise to help the Parkinson’s Foundation provide everything people with Parkinson’s need to live better — from lifesaving resources to delivering quality care to more than 196,700 people living with Parkinson’s to improving Parkinson’s treatments through research.

Moving Day proceeds help bring quality care to more people with Parkinson’s, further Parkinson’s research, education and outreach initiatives. Moving Day raises awareness of Parkinson’s both nationally and in the local community.

If you’d like to join us, we’d love to see you there! The event will take place at Livingston Park (156 Hooksett Rd.) beginning at 10:00am, so mark your calendars today.

Thank You for Your Support

We greatly appreciate all the patients and caregivers who have supported our Community Outreach Program, which is back in action following a brief hiatus. Together, we are making a positive impact, and we look forward to presenting Parkinson’s Foundation New England with a large check next month!
