Our Staff Spotlight for April is Judy, our patient educator in Merrimack!
Patients who visit our Merrimack dispensary will probably recognize Judy. She joined the team in 2019, back when we were Prime ATC, and recently celebrated 7 years with us. We are grateful for all the joy that Judy has brought to our patients and to all the people she has worked with over the years.
Judy can often be found in the front office greeting patients and checking them in. She also spends time consulting with new and existing patients who want more in-depth information and recommendations. As a patient educator, she is always happy to share her knowledge about our products and their potential therapeutic benefits.
When Judy first started with us, she found that this job brought her joy after losing a loved one. She loves learning things from younger team members, and she “teaches them a couple of wise things” in return.
Her biggest accomplishment over the seven years she’s been here was overcoming adversity during COVID. She was a part of the team that ensured patients still received their therapeutic cannabis during those uncertain times. She loves the work she does and finds there are “many more good days than bad.”
The products that Judy has found to be the most beneficial are the tinctures because they are great for going “low and slow.” Specific GraniteLeaf products that she likes include the THCA/THC tincture, fast-acting edibles, and the Funk MTN flower.
Helping people is what really keeps her going. Her favorite thing about her job is when patients come to her and tell her that cannabis “changed their lives.” She loves working for GraniteLeaf, and says she doesn’t want to work anywhere else.
Her general advice for patients is that “moderation in everything is key.”
