For our September Community Outreach Project, we will once again be supporting The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
According to the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC), suicide is the 11th leading cause of death in the United States. 49,476 Americans died by suicide in 2022, an average of 135 suicides per day.
AFSP is working hard to reduce these numbers. Their New Hampshire chapter brings together people from all backgrounds who want to prevent suicide in our communities.
We will be collecting cash donations at both dispensaries throughout September to support this worthy cause. GraniteLeaf will once again match all donations up to a total of $2K, so every dollar you donate will have twice the impact!
Walk to #StopSuicide
We are looking forward to joining AFSP for two of their “Out of the Darkness Community Walks” in September, and we would love to have you join us. Here are the details:
The Concord Walk will take place Sunday, September 15 at Rollins Park in Concord.
The Greater Nashua Walk will take place Saturday, September 21 at the Greeley Park Bandshell.
Check-in for both walks will begin at 9am, and the walks will begin at 10am.
We will be tabling at both events, so please feel free to stop by our tent and say hello!
Over $3K Being Donated to ColdSprings Healing Paws!
Last month, patients and caregivers donated $1,655 to support ColdSprings Healing Paws Foundation! Merrimack raised more than Chichester this time, but once again it was very close between the two dispensaries. Here’s the breakdown:
- $590 donated in Merrimack
- $501.98 donated in Chichester (aside from Cannaversary)
- $420 raised from Cannaversary Ring toss
- $144.31 raised at Cannaversary event (by both Merrimack and Chichester teams)
- Total donations prior to matching = $1656.29
GraniteLeaf Cannabis will be matching these donations, for a total donation of $3,312.58. Thanks to all who donated to support this worthy cause!
