Cannabis Edibles
What are Edibles?
“Edibles” is the term used for foods that are infused with cannabis. They come in many forms, ranging from baked goods to capsules. Our edibles are created at our production facility by the CIP (cannabis-infused product) department. We make edibles with D-9 THC and other cannabinoids, including CBD, D-8 THC, and THCA.
When edibles are ingested, they are metabolized differently than cannabis that has been inhaled. Some patients notice the effects and benefits of edibles that they don’t get with other methods of consumption. Edibles are a very popular choice for patients, and we offer a wide range of options. You may also choose to make your own edibles using our edible cannabis oil.

30 minutes – 2 hours
Potential Duration of Effects
6 – 8 hours
What are Edibles Good For?
For those who suffer from a chronic condition, edibles are a good choice because the effects have a longer duration than other consumption methods. Edibles made with D9 THC as the dominant cannabinoid may be good for helping ease chronic pain for long periods and may be helpful for those suffering from insomnia. Edibles made with CBD as the dominant cannabinoid may be good for long-term relief from anxiety, seizures, and inflammation. Edibles that contain raw flower, and therefore contain acidic cannabinoids like THCA and CBDA, may be very helpful for long-term anti-inflammatory and pain relief.
How Are Edibles Made?
Edibles can be made with oils derived from the cannabis plant or with raw cannabis flower. In our production facility, we use a distillate cannabis oil that has active cannabinoids to create our cannabis infused products.
For homemade edibles, there are several different methods. The easiest way is to use our decarboxylated oral syringe to infuse a food product like butter or cooking oil to use in any recipe. You can also create edibles using raw flower or kief.
Other edibles that are uncooked, such as a salad or a smoothie, utilize raw cannabis flower to gain the therapeutic benefits of acidic cannabinoids such as THCA, CBDA, and/or CBGA. As you can see, edibles can come in many forms!

How Do Edibles Work?
Cannabinoids that are ingested travel to the stomach and pass to the liver before moving to the bloodstream and brain. This process takes time, which is why edibles can take over an hour to take effect.
As the liver processes D9 THC, it converts into a metabolite called 11-hydoxy-THC. This metabolite is primarily responsible for the unique effects of edibles. 11-hydroxy-THC has similar effects and therapeutic benefits as D9 THC, but for some, it can be more intoxicating and have stronger body effects. Edibles can be used alone or in combination with other consumption methods for optimal relief.
Some people have a genetic trait where their body metabolizes compounds faster than average. For these individuals, edibles have minimal or no effects, even when taken at high doses. Like other cannabis products, edibles affect each individual differently.
