GraniteLeaf Cultivar (Strain) Guide
Cannabis cultivars, commonly referred to as “strains,” are specific varieties of cannabis that have been cultivated for their effects, appearance, aromas, and growing characteristics. Historically, cannabis cultivars have been grouped into three main categories: Sativas, Indicas, and hybrids. Sativa cultivars originated in Asia and typically grow taller with narrow leaves. Indica cultivars originated in India and typically grow shorter with broader leaves. Most cultivars available today are actually hybrids created by breeding one cultivar with another.
The effects of each cultivar can vary substantially from one patient to another, so it makes sense for patients to try multiple cultivars to find out which is most helpful. Sativa-dominant cultivars are more likely to be associated with a more uplifting or energizing effect, while Indica-dominant varieties are known for their more relaxing, sedative qualities.
The cultivar guide below provides more information about the common effects of the cultivars we offer as cannabis flower, pre-rolls, concentrates, or vape cartridges. It also provides more information about the potential therapeutic benefits of the different cannabinoids and terpenes found in cannabis. We list the cannabinoid and terpene content for each batch of flower, pre-roll, concentrate, and full spectrum vape. You can find that information simply by clicking the item on our menu.
